  1. While the wings bake, combine the ketchup, vinegar, sugar, and water in a small saucepan.
  2. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
  3. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
  4. Simmer for 5 to 8 minutes until slightly thickened.

Finish the Wings

  1. Remove the wings from the oven.
  2. Pour the sweet and sour sauce evenly over the wings.
  3. Turn the wings to coat thoroughly.
  4. Return the baking dish to the oven.
  5. Bake for an additional 30 to 40 minutes, turning and basting every 10 to 15 minutes.
