SPICY CAJUN STYLE BUFFALO WINGS

Description

These Spicy Cajun Style Buffalo Wings combine the bold flavors of Cajun seasoning, barbecue sauce, jalapeño sauce, Tabasco, Worcestershire sauce, and cayenne pepper. Slow-cooked until tender and infused with spice, these wings deliver deep Southern flavor with a smoky, spicy finish.

Ingredients

3 pounds chicken wings, separated

1 bottle spicy barbecue sauce

1½ teaspoons cayenne pepper

¼ teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon garlic flakes, minced

1 teaspoon onion flakes, minced

3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons jalapeño sauce

1 tablespoon Tabasco sauce

1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning


Instructions

  1. Separate the chicken wings into flats and drumettes and remove the tips.
  2. Place the wings into a slow cooker.
  3. Add the barbecue sauce, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, garlic flakes, onion flakes, Worcestershire sauce, jalapeño sauce, Tabasco sauce, and Cajun seasoning.
  4. Stir until all wings are thoroughly coated.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for approximately 4 hours.
  6. Stir once or twice during cooking if desired.
  7. Continue cooking until the wings are tender and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  8. Transfer the wings to a serving platter.
  9. Spoon additional sauce over the top before serving.

Optional Caramelized Finish

For crispier wings:

  1. Preheat the broiler.
  2. Arrange the cooked wings on a foil-lined baking sheet.
  3. Broil for 2 to 4 minutes per side until lightly caramelized.
  4. Brush with additional sauce before serving.
