These Hot and Spicy Chicken Wings are coated in a fiery tomato-based sauce loaded with red pepper flakes, hot sauce, garlic, onion, and jalapeños. Baked until tender and flavorful, they're perfect for spice lovers who enjoy layers of heat without deep frying.

Ingredients

1 pound chicken wings, separated

1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce

2 tablespoons red pepper flakes

2 tablespoons hot sauce

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon onion powder

2 tablespoons jalapeño peppers, finely chopped

Blue cheese dressing, for serving (optional)

Celery sticks, for serving (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C).

  4. Mix until well blended.

  6. Brush the wings generously with the spicy sauce.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes.
  8. Turn the wings over and brush with additional sauce.
  9. Continue baking for 10 more minutes, or until the wings reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  10. For extra caramelization, broil for 1 to 2 minutes before serving if desired.
  11. Transfer to a serving platter and serve hot.
  12. Offer blue cheese dressing and celery sticks on the side if desired.
