These Crunchy Parmesan Chicken Wings are coated in layers of seasoned flour, egg, Parmesan cheese, and breadcrumbs before being baked until golden brown and crisp. Ingredients

4 pounds chicken wings, separated

½ cup all-purpose flour

½ teaspoon paprika

¼ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

4 large eggs

2 cups grated Parmesan cheese

½ cup dry breadcrumbs

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon dried oregano


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly grease two rimmed baking sheets or line them with parchment paper.
  3. In the first shallow dish, combine the flour, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  4. In the second shallow dish, beat the eggs until smooth.
  5. In the third shallow dish, combine the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, basil, and oregano.
  6. Dredge each wing in the flour mixture.
  7. Dip the wing into the beaten eggs.
  8. Roll the wing in the Parmesan mixture, pressing firmly so the coating adheres.
  9. Arrange the coated wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheets.
  10. Bake for 20 minutes.
  11. Turn the wings over and continue baking for 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown, crispy, and cooked through to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  12. Allow the wings to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
