Ingredients

12 chicken wings, separated into flats and drumettes, tips removed

½ cup butter, melted

1 envelope savory herb and garlic soup mix

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper sauce, or more to taste


Instructions

  1. Remove the wing tips and separate the wings into flats and drumettes.
  2. Cook the wings using one of the following methods:

Frying Method:

  1. Heat oil to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Fry the wings for 8 to 10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Drain on paper towels.

Baking Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (204°C).
  2. Arrange wings on a baking sheet.
  3. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, turning halfway through cooking.

Broiling Method:

  1. Position the rack 6 inches from the broiler.
  2. Broil for 18 to 20 minutes, turning once.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, savory herb and garlic soup mix, and cayenne pepper sauce.
  4. Stir until thoroughly blended.
  5. Add the hot cooked wings and toss until evenly coated.
  6. Taste and add additional cayenne pepper sauce if desired.
  7. Transfer to a serving platter and serve immediately.
