Ingredients

1 pound chicken wings, separated

3 tablespoons lemon juice

3 tablespoons soy sauce

⅛ teaspoon onion powder

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon ketchup

Salt, to taste

Black pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Place the chicken wings in a shallow dish or resealable bag.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the lemon juice, soy sauce, and onion powder.
  3. Pour the marinade over the wings and toss to coat evenly.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
  5. Preheat the broiler and position the oven rack 6 to 7 inches from the heat source.
  6. Line a broiler pan with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  7. Remove the wings from the marinade, reserving 1 tablespoon of the marinade.
  8. Arrange the wings on the prepared broiler pan and season lightly with salt and black pepper.
  9. In a small bowl, combine the reserved marinade, honey, and ketchup.
  10. Brush half of the glaze over the wings.
  11. Broil for 7 minutes.
  12. Turn the wings and brush with the remaining glaze.
  13. Continue broiling for an additional 7 minutes, or until the wings are golden brown, slightly charred at the edges, and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  14. Serve immediately.
