2-quart shallow baking dish

INGREDIENTS

4 large hard-boiled eggs

2 large raw eggs, separated

2 tbsps unsalted butter, melted

1 tbsp parsley chopped

1 tsp kosher salt

⅛ tsp black pepper

½ cup soft breadcrumbs

2 cups prepared cream sauce (optional)

Butter or cooking spray for greasing the baking dish (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (204°C).

  14. Arrange the filled eggs in the center of the baking dish.
  15. Spoon any remaining egg mixture around the eggs to form a decorative border.
  16. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the eggs.
  17. Sprinkle the soft breadcrumbs over the top.
  18. Bake for 12 to 15 mins, or until lightly browned.
  19. Serve immediately with warm cream sauce, if desired.

RECIPE NOTES

Heat Adjustment Suggestions

Bake only until the topping is lightly golden to maintain a soft, delicate filling. If serving with cream sauce, warm it gently over low heat to prevent scorching.

Make-Ahead Tips

The hard-boiled eggs may be prepared up to three days in advance. Assemble the dish several hours before baking and refrigerate. Add the breadcrumbs and melted butter just before placing it in the oven.

Serving Suggestions

Serve with roasted asparagus, steamed green beans, sautéed spinach, roasted potatoes, or a crisp mixed green salad. Garnish with chopped parsley, chives, or a sprinkle of paprika for a colorful presentation.
