DESCRIPTION

Everything you love about a juicy cheeseburger is wrapped inside a crispy egg roll wrapper. Ground beef, melted cheddar cheese, onions, pickles, and seasonings create a fun twist on a classic American favorite.

These crowd-pleasing egg rolls are perfect for game day, parties, or a quick family dinner.

Wooden spoon

Cutting board

Pastry brush

Small bowl

Deep fryer

 or Dutch oven

Tongs

Paper towel-lined plate

INGREDIENTS

1 pound lean ground beef

1 tbsp vegetable oil

½ cup diced onion

1 tsp garlic powder

½ tsp onion powder

½ tsp kosher salt

¼ tsp black pepper

1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

¼ cup diced dill pickles

12 egg roll wrappers

1 tbsp water

Oil for frying

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion and cook until softened.
  3. Add the ground beef and cook until brown.
  4. Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  1. Remove from the heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.
  2. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and diced pickles.
  3. Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean work surface.
  4. Spoon about ¼ cup of filling into the center.
  5. Fold and roll tightly, sealing the edge with water.
  6. Repeat with the remaining wrappers.
  7. Heat the oil to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Fry for 3 to 4 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Drain on paper towels before serving.
